There are approximately 5 more days for lecturing in the Mixing and Remixing Information course.  I say approximately 5 because it depends on how much more time I want to give over to student projects and how much I want to introduce students to new areas.    I would like my students to have as much time to focus on their projects as they can profitably use.

Should I just dive into a specific topic or present a broad context first, by which I mean my efforts to develop a complete interoperable personal computing platform?  For today, I decided that I will briefly mention the large context and jump right into two topics:  online calendars and events databases (the topic of chapter 15 of my book) and microformats (to be discussed in Chapter 18).
